EdD stands for Doctor of Education. I am pursuing this professional degree for my second career as an educator and further develop skills for educational leadership roles.
UW’s Doctor of Education program includes research curricula to prepare me as a graduate to be able to impact both practice and policy in the world of education. Not only is there research involved, but the degree is highly practical such that I will be taught how to apply my knowledge to real-world scenarios and therefore relevant situations to effect positive change.
